The Jury of the IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival
The jury of the international and national contest IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival has been determined. The international jury panel will be headed by Director and selection officer of the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, Christiane Buechner. The winner of the Golden George award, Director Farhat Sharipov, will be the Chairman of the national jury.
Baiqonyr ISFF will be held from September 4 to 8, 2019 at the Kinoplexx Sary Arka cinema with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy.
The General partner of IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival is Kinoplexx Theaters, the Golden partner of the event is Visit Almaty, and the partner for postal services is Kazpost. The initiator is the Broadway movie portal.
The international jury that will evaluate the national contest also includes Andrey Shchigolev, a Moscow international film festival selector, Gulbara Tolomushova, programme Director of the CIS young film Forum “UMUT”, Sam LaHood, Director of the NDU Film festival, Beirut women FF, Timur Serdalin, the Grand Prix winner of the III Baiqonyr SFF, and Kazakh producer Daniyar Ibragimov.
The winners will be determined in the following nominations: “The Grand Prix”, “Best Director”, “Best Cinema operator”, “Best Production Designer”, “Best Script”, “Best Sound”, “Best Experimental Film”, “Best Documentary film”, “Best Animated Film”, “Best Actor”, “Best Actress”, “Broadway Choice”.
The international contest together with Farhat Sharipov will be evaluated by film expert Inna Smailova, actress Zhanna Kuanysheva, camera operator Azamat Dulatov and producer Diana Ashimova.
Participants of the international contest will compete in the nominations: “The Grand Prix”, “Best Director”, “Best Cinema operator”, “Best Script”, “Best Actor”, “Best Actress”.
Let us recall that the application process for participation in the IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival will end on August 15 this year.
