New York Film Academy will choose the best director at the Baiqonyr Film Festival and will present a certificate for a master class in directing
On September 15 and 16, the II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival will be held in Kok-Tobe Park. 140 applications have been submitted for participation in the film festival. Each film is unique in style and content.
The II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival is held with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.
One of the short films directors of the competition programme will be given the opportunity to visit the New York Film Academy master classes on directing, which will be held on October 27-29 in Almaty.
It should be noted that 35 short films have been included into the competition programme, as well as 3 more films will be presented in the non-competition programme of II Baiqonyr.
The New York Film Academy master class brings the best teachers: The New York Film Academy dean in Los Angeles, Kelly Gardner, a director with experience in theatre, film and television, will hold a master class in directing.
The NYFA graduates are famous directors such as: Kanat Beisekeyev, Malik Zenger, Askar Bisembin, Olzhas Nurbayev and Medet Shayakhmetov, as well as actors: Sanzhar Madi and Asel Sagatova.
