Almaty hosted the third Baiqonyr Short Film Festival, an annual film festival dedicated to short films. Out of 195 applications, the selection Committee selected 47 works for the contest, which have already competed for 13 statuettes.
This year, the Baiqonyr SFF was supported by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, Kinopark Theater and Kinoplexx Cinema.
At the III Baiqonyr Short Film Festival, viewers were able to not only get acquainted with an interesting programme, but also attend a master class by Temirlan Tulegenov, who spoke about copyright in the cinema. This knowledge will be useful to participants and novice filmmakers when they send their work to TV channels and other festivals. The guests were also presented with unique programmes of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek short films.
The names of the winners have already been announced, and now it remains only to enjoy the memories of the past film festival in our photo gallery.
