The II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival is held with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.

Azamat Dulatov graduated from Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov with a degree in “Camera operator”. Among his extreme works are the drama “Taraz”, the comedy “Married at 30” and the biographical film “Ninety One”. In addition, he is the permanent camera operator of the films of Nurtas Adambay (“Kelinka Sabina 1-2”, “Escape from Aul. Operation “Mahabbat”, “Groom for 5 days” and “Elevator”). Successfully graduating from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography and taking the diploma of the animated cartoon designer, he received an invitation from the Uzbekfilm studio to create effects for the experimental film “Hugs of a Dream”. He liked the experience in feature films, and never returned to the animation. A real test for him as a production designer was the work on “The Death of Otrar”, one of the most epic domestic costume and historical films made during the collapse of the USSR. For brilliant work done in difficult times for the country, Umirzak was awarded several international awards. In the mid-90s, he was trained to create mobile sets for television series at the British Broadcasting Corporation “BBC” and used the acquired knowledge to work on two of the largest projects of the time - the series “Cross-road” and “Locust”. After that, having worked for almost ten years on the Astana TV channel, Umirzak Tulegenovich, at the invitation of his former student, again set foot on the set of an ambitious film project - the biographical film “The Leader’s Way”.
