The I Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival participants
The I Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival has successfully completed the acceptance of applications. About 200 applications were submitted for participation, 44 of them were included into the main competition and non-competition programmes.
The festival management entrusted the selection of participants to film expert Yerzhan Zhumabekov and director Aruan Anartayev.
The festival will be opened by Askhat Kuchinchirekov's film “Out of gas” (Бензин бітті).
The winners will be determined by a jury: director Rashid Nugmanov, film critic and film expert Gulnara Abikeyeva, animator Gali Myrzashev, director Adilkhan Yerzhanov, film critic Tolegen Baitukenov, film distributor Sabina Kuzenbayeva, producer and director of Eurasia Spotlight Anna Kachko and director of Eurasia Spotlight Ilyas Akhmet.
The I Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival will be held on September 17 and 18 in Kok-Tobe Park.
