“Orkesh” short film  participates in Annecy International Animation Film Festival

In June, the French city of Annecy will host the International Festival of Animated Films, in the competition programme of which is the Kazakhstan short film “Orkesh” by Ivan Ardashov.

In the story, the boy, together with the shepherd father, goes on a distant pasture. In a new place they have to re-arrange everything, find a common language and fight for their lives.
The work of Ivan Ardashov was included in the programme “Graduation Films” and will fight for victory in three categories along with other 47 films from different countries.

Annecy International Animation Film Festival, held since 1960, is considered one of the oldest and most important animation festivals in the world, it is even compared to the Cannes Film Festival in the field of animation.
Let us recall that last September the “Orkesh” short film won two awards at once at the III Baiqonyr Short Film Festival. The film won in the “Best Animated Film” and “Best Production Designer” nominations.
