On September 16, the II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival held in Kok-Tobe Park came to its end with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.

The event gave the guests a lot of impressions and pleasant memories. The jury had a hard time, because all the pictures were worthy of the highest award. As a result, a short film "Tough cookie” directed by Baimurat Zhumanov has won “The Grand Prix” of the festival.

The program “Kazakhstan Premiere” was first presented at Baiqonyr, where the projects such as: “Wings donated by mother”, “Oralman”, “Good soul”, “Love by inheritance”, “Brother or marriage?” and “For love” were presented.

Within the framework of the festival there was a meeting with the actress Karlygash Mukhamedzhanova and the author of domestic comics Orazkhan Zhakup.

The third Baiqonyr promises to give new faces to domestic cinema, as well as expand the geography of the festival.
