From September 15 to 16 the II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival will be held. The event will be held in Kok-Tobe Park and in two days it will have time to demonstrate an extensive programme consisting of competition and non-competition works, the top 10 films of the contest “Make a film in 48 hours” and the programme “Kazakhstan Premiere”.
The II Baiqonyr Republican Short Film Festival is held with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.
The festival was first presented by Director Anuar Kenzhibayev, member of the Selection Committee Yerzhan Zhumabekov, member of the jury Gulnara Dusmatova, Jury Chairman Akhat Ibrayev and senior project coordinator of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Timur Ismailov.
One of the pleasant innovations of this year was the addition of two nominations at once: “Production Designer” and “Special Jury Prize”
