Baiqonyr ISFF: “Debut” non-competition programme
At the IV Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival, the premiere of three short films shot at “Debut” Creative Production Association at the Kazakhfilm film studio will take place as part of a non-competition programme.
The “Useless Creatures” short film was shot by Dzhanibek Murtazin. The plot is built around the emergence of ideas for a new film by a creative team. The authors of the script were Dzhanibek Murtazin and Baurzhan Moldashbayev.
The drama “The Stars” is directed by Beksultan Anuarov. This story is about a girl and her father, who cannot recover after the death of his wife. Muffling the pain of loss by alcohol, the man does not understand what makes the little daughter unhappy in this way. But the little girl believes that someday she will be able to catch the shooting star and make a wish, and then her dad will finally return to her. The script was written by Askar Abdullayev.
Ramazan Haliolla
The director of the film “Dombyra” is Ramazan Haliolla. The plot of the film tells about an 8-year-old boy living in an aul who begins to learn the art of playing the national instrument - dombyra. Scriptwriters - Ramazan Haliolla, Zhanat Zhaylybay.
The master of Kazakhstani cinema, director Darezhan Omirbayev will present a non-competition programme “Debut”.
This year, the Baiqonyr ISFF Film Festival starts on the 4th and lasts until September 8 with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy. Screenings will be held at Kinoplexx Sary Arka.
